Most people are used to using Microsoft Excel but there are other alternatives around. Open Office ( www.openoffice.org) is a free office suite to rival Microsoft from Sun Microsystems. You get a word processor, spreadsheet program, database program, presentation program(powerpoint equiv) as well as a drawing prog. Most of the features you will be used to from the MS Office are available but at no cost. Google also offer word processing and spreadsheets docs.google.com which are based online so cuts down on mailing massive files to people. If you're regular users of either of the above let us know what you think.
